Hair, beauty and fashion has been Dora Kakarides’s passion for over 20 years. With influences from some of the nation’s top educators like Vidal Sassoon, L’anza, The Aveda Academy, Paul Mitchell and Deva Curl Institution. Dora has taken her love for the hair industry and has made it her life’s work, motivating her to open Salon DSK.

Over the past 20 years Dora has dedicated herself to her career. She has consistently furthered her education and has always made it a priority to stay ahead of the latest trends. The knowledge she has acquired through the years has given her the skill and capability to accomplish any look or style her clients desire. From color to designer haircutting, hi-liting to extensions, her creativity and sincere love for the art has been the driving force that has brought her to where she is today.

Now as a salon owner and mentor, Dora is thrilled to be able to inspire her staff with the knowledge and techniques she has attained through the years. With a team of well educated, talented artists and a cutting edge salon environment, Dora has created an atmosphere where every client feels welcome and leaves looking amazing!

Kayla graduated from Blake Austin Beauty Academy in California as an Esthetician in 2014 but has been working as a makeup artist since 2012. After being in beauty industry for over 10 years, Kayla has decided to go back to school to receive her B.S. in Business Management and Marketing from Penn State University. After 6 years of being with Salon DSK she now lives in North Carolina and works remotely supporting our team.

Kayla also has had intensive training by skincare company Lira Clinical including completing both Smart Peel and Smart Peel Advanced classes. She also attended several Kryolan Professional Make-Up classes in San Francisco and has attended many seminars taught by industry-leading Makeup Artists. Her participation in the Summit Salon Business Center has given her advanced knowledge in Front Desk Operations and Salon Management. 

With over 30 years in the hair industry, Donna has dedicated her life to her career. She has attended every Lanza Healing Haircare class we have hosted and has traveled across the country to attend their biggest events year after year. Donna is also a certified curl specialist after attending a Diva Curl Master Class in New York. Her biggest passions are in color formulation and highlighting. Because she enjoys keeping current with new hair and fashion trends, she is always looking to educate herself and take new classes. Her number one priority is ensuring her clients leave her chair happy and feeling beautiful. She loves working with people and is a great asset to the Salon DSK team. When she is not at the salon, you can find her at home cooking and spending time with her daughter, Lauren, and their Great Dane dog, Prim.

Callysta (Cally) was born and raised in Florence, NJ and began her journey as a stylist right here in Salon DSK. She graduated from Empire Beauty in 2018 and started working for us as an assistant while she was still attending school. Within a year and a half, she graduated from Assistant, to Jr. Stylist, and is now one of our top stylists and our Salon Educator. While Callysta also work and apprentice here at Salon DSK, she simultaneously apprenticed at Mike’s Barber Shop in Princeton. Additional classes she has attended include JRL Barbering, Wella Color, Kell Grace’s Updo Classes, and continuous Lanza Education including traveling to Nashville, Las Vegas, and Orlando to attend their B.I.G. Events. 

Not only does Callysta love attending classes, she also loves to educate others. She now hosts monthly classes on various topics to her fellow stylists and assistants. While her first passion for the beauty industry started with updos and makeup, it has evolved into working with vivid colors and blondes.  When Callysta is not at the salon you can find her at home playing and snuggling with her kittens or curled up in a cozy nook reading.

 South Jersey Native, Egyptian born and bred Rasha Klauder, grew up with a passion for all things beauty. Her name, which is pronounced like the country, Russia with an A, means fawn in her native language and is the personification of natural beauty.  Rasha’s biggest passion is not only beauty but education which is why she felt it essential to seek out the best education possible and attended Rizzieri Aveda beauty school in Voorhees, NJ. One of Rasha’s sought out skills is her eyebrow threading technique. With intense precision and discipline she has mastered the art of threading, but her talents also include massages, styling, and spa treatments. With Rasha as your stylist, you’ll leave the salon happy and prepared to take on the day or dazzle at your next party.

As a mother of two beautiful children and a loving wife and sister, Rasha proves that if you dream big, work hard, and find your passion, anything is possible.

Born and raised in Columbus, NJ, Marie is an exceptional hairstylist with 43 years of salon experience. A proud graduate of the Burlington County Institute of Technology, Marie has been perfecting her craft since high school. She has continuously advanced her skills through specialized classes at Redken on 5th Ave NYC, Las Vegas, and Maryland, ensuring she stays ahead of the latest trends and techniques in the hair industry. Marie loves all aspects of hairstyling, with a particular passion for coloring, dimensional coloring, cutting, and styling. Her dedication to her clients and her craft shines through in every service she provides.

When she's not behind the chair, Marie cherishes time with her family, including her beloved furry friends. She is married to her high school sweetheart and they had two wonderful children together. Her and her family are always ready for an adventure, including trips to Disney, even if it is just for a day.

With 30 years of experience as a hairstylist, Holly has been a staple in the Columbus, NJ community, bringing creativity and skill to every cut, color, and style. Her passion for hair artistry is evident in her work, where she combines classic techniques with the latest trends to deliver stunning results. Throughout her career, she has built a reputation for her warm and welcoming approach, always eager to meet new clients and help them achieve their desired look. Her dedication to her craft ensures that every client leaves the salon feeling confident and beautiful.

Outside the salon, Holly is a proud mother of a wonderful daughter and son, and a doting grandmother to an awesome granddaughter and grandson. Family is her greatest joy, and she cherishes the time spent with her loved ones.

With over 20 years of experience in the hairstyling industry, Fran has become a master of her craft. Specializing in 2D/3D highlights, barbering, and body waves, she is renowned for her versatility and expertise. Affectionately nicknamed the "Blowout Queen," Fran is known for delivering the smoothest, most stunning blowouts in town. Fran brings her best to every client, ensuring a personalized and exceptional experience in her chair. Her bubbly and bright personality not only makes clients feel at ease but also inspires and uplifts her fellow stylists.

When she's not in the salon, Fran enjoys spending quality time with her two beautiful daughters and planning her next exciting trip to Greece. Her passion for travel and family enriches her life and fuels her creativity.

 After 36 years in the industry, Kim is still in love with the reactions she receives from her clients after a visit to the salon. She enjoys every moment of making her clients not only look but feel their best. Kim’s goal is to make the experience of receiving a service by her a relaxing, refreshing, and transformative moment.

She has trained with brands such as Aloxxi, Pravana, Redken, Brazilian Blowout, L’Oreal Professional, Olaplex, Lassio, and Matrix. Kim has also received the Master Stylist Certification through Gina Bianca’s Master Class. Now that Kim is at Salon DSK, she is learning and feeling the “Lanza Love” and the amazing products that we carry as a Lanza Healing Center.

Kristin is a talented and ambitious young stylist who graduated from Hamilton High School West, where she also completed a comprehensive cosmetology program. She has successfully completed Salon DSK's Assistant Program, participating in numerous advanced classes both within and outside the salon. 

In addition to her hair education, Kristin has expanded her skill set by becoming a Certified Lash Extension Artist through the prestigious Bella Lash Academy. Here, she received one-on-one, hands-on training, allowing her to excel in classic and volume eyelash extensions, as well as eyelash lifts. Her proficiency in these areas, coupled with her talent for formal hairstyling, makes her a versatile and sought-after stylist.

Kristin's dedication to her craft is matched by her commitment to her education. She is currently pursuing a business degree, aiming to combine her creative skills with strong business acumen to further her career in the beauty industry.  Family means a lot to her, and she cherishes spending quality time with them, which provides a strong foundation of support and inspiration in her professional journey.

 Helvy was born in Lima, Peru and came to the United States over 22 years ago. She graduated from Empire Beauty School in 2017 and has continuously worked in the salon industry before joining us in 2022. To say she is an incredibly handworker, would simply be an understatement. Helvy has attended classes by companies such as L'Oreal Professional, Mizani Curls, Lasio Keratin, and Lanza Healing Haircare. Her current passions for the industry involve working with textured hair, haircutting, body waxing, and smoothing treatments like Brazilian Blow Outs. She is also bilingual and can speak both English and Spanish.

When she is not at the salon, you will find her at home with her beautiful baby boy. To Helvy, being a stylist is not just a job, beauty is her passion and making sure every client who leaves the salon is happy and feeling beautiful is her top priority. 

Ashley is a proud graduate of Burlington County Institute of Technology's Cosmetology program, where she honed her skills and discovered her passion for hair artistry. Over the past 6 years, she has dedicated herself to expanding her knowledge and gaining hands-on experience at Salon DSK. Her passions are balayage, highlighting, and formal styles. Ashley is known for her hardworking and friendly demeanor and she is constantly eager to learn and grow, often found shadowing senior stylists and absorbing as much knowledge as possible to perfect her craft. Ashley's enthusiasm and commitment to her clients shine through in every service she provides, ensuring a personalized and satisfying experience for each person who sits in her chair.

When she’s not creating beautiful hair transformations at the salon, Ashley enjoys spending quality time with her family and cooking delicious meals. Her love for family and culinary arts adds an extra touch of warmth and creativity to her life.

 Nicole is a seasoned nail technician with 33 years of experience in the beauty industry. For the past 29 years, she has been a beloved figure in the Columbus, NJ area, providing top-notch nail services to her loyal clients. Specializing in acrylic overlays, gel manicures, and pedicures, she is committed to ensuring every client receives exceptional care and leaves feeling fabulous. Her dedication to her craft and her continuous pursuit of the latest trends and techniques make her a trusted expert in the field.

Outside of her professional life, Nicole is a proud momma of three children—a beautiful daughter and handsome twin sons. Her children are her pride and joy, keeping her life vibrant with new adventures and countless exciting baseball games.

Ashley graduated from Steinert High School in 2021 while simultaneously completing the Cosmetology program at Mercer County Technical School. Her journey into the salon industry began at the young age of 9 when she started coloring, cutting her own hair, and doing her nails. This early passion fueled her desire to pursue a professional career in cosmetology. Now a budding professional, Ashley's current passions lie in hair coloring and nail artistry. 

She is certified in tape-in, beaded, keratin bond, and weft extensions, showcasing her dedication to mastering diverse techniques. At Salon DSK, she has been diligently honing her hairstyling skills while also engaging in one-on-one training to perfect her manicure and nail enhancement abilities.

Graduating at the top of her class from the Rizzieri Aveda School in May of 2024, Theresa wasted no time in obtaining her cosmetology license, showcasing her dedication and commitment to her craft. With an insatiable appetite for learning, Theresa's interests span the entire spectrum of haircare, from mastering the art of color to expertly handling grey coverage, highlights, and balayage techniques. She thrives exploring new trends, always eager to expand her skills and stay at the forefront of the industry.

Beyond her dedication to hairstyling, Theresa is a passionate advocate for agriculture and community education. Crowned as the Burlington County Farm Fair Queen of 2023, she utilizes her platform to educate and inspire others about the importance of agriculture in our daily lives. When she's not busy at the salon or championing agricultural causes, Theresa can be found doting on her beloved dog, Fozzie.

 Dezi comes to us with over 13 years experience in massage therapy. A former instructor in Las Cruces, New Mexico, Dezi has returned to Burlington, New Jersey after 15 years away. Always staying up-to-date with evidence based practices, she has over 24 years experience and additional training and certifications in martial arts, relationship coaching, healing arts, shinpiden reiki mastership, body & contouring cavitation, and tarot readings.

When not healing clients, you can find Dezi in the gym, enjoying family and being a grandmother, as well as writing novels!
